A Choice To Make

I once had my heart to lease;

“I’ll take it,” the Devil cried,

“I will pay with fame and wealth,

And nothing shall be denied;

Sweet are the pleasures of sin-

Open, and let me come in!”

My Saviour stood at the door;

“I have paid already,” said He.

“My blood was the purchase price

When I gave My life for thee.

I will give you joy each day,

And peace you have never known,

And when this building decays,

You shall have a Heavenly Home.

The Devil loves filth and dirt,

He does not keep house very well,

And when he leaves you at last

Your soul will be fit for hell.”

I chose my Saviour that day,

And Jesus moved in to stay!
