Begin The Day With Him

Early in the morning Lord

I would meet Thee in Thy Word,

I would take the time to pray,

See direction for the day,

Draw from Thee the strength and grace

For each battle I shall face.

If I would Thy servant be,

First I must commune with Thee.

At the closing of the day

Lord I come again to pray,

Asking for Thy gift of rest

On each soul my life has blest,

Thanking Thee for victories won,

Confessing any wrong I’ve done;

But oh, the day is rich and sweet

When I begin it at Thy feet.
