God Knows About It

God knows about it -

And that tear that fell,

He knew it well

And understood the grief that o’er me crept,

For Jesus Wept.

God knows about it -

When my friends forsook

My Saviour took

Me in His arms, for by His love ones, first

My Lord was cursed.

God knows about it -

When the Temptor came

I pled His name

And Satan fled, defeated, for he knew

My Lord was true.

God knows about it -

When the way was dim

I turned to Him

For guidance, knowing though I could not see,

He cares for me.
