His Place
Would you know joy complete and true,
And peace beyond compare?
Then find the Saviour’s place for you
And let Him use you there.
Perhaps you long to cross the sea,
And yet the way is barred?
O, when your soul cries out to go,
To stay behind is hard!
Or is He calling you to leave
Your home, and friends, and all;
And you, instead of trusting, grieve,
Afraid to heed His call?
He may not lead as you had planned;
The path oft’times is dim;
But He will guide you with His hand,
And what can hinder Him?
There is no spot on earth for you
Where you more souls can touch;
There is no work that you can do
Where He will bless as much.
Let matchless grace your doubt destroy,
His light your being fill,
And you will find eternal joy
In resting in His will.
