Resurrection Life

“Say, have you heard? This man among men

Was dead, and now is alive again!”

“How you talk! There was nothing could save -

I saw him laid in a lifeless grave.”

“But see - ‘tis Lazarus there at meat,

Alive and well at the Nazarene’s feet.

I was not there, but the story goes

That Jesus spoke and the dead arose.

Who can deny he is flesh and blood?

Surely this is an act of God!”

They came in question, they came to stare,

And many believed when they saw him there.

The world is looking for proof today.

“He’s the Son of God, did I hear you say?”

And you can answer, “Once dead in sin,

A sinner, condemned, no life within,

I had grieved my Lord and despised His laws,

But a loving Saviour came where I was

And called me forth from my grave of sin,

Imparting life to my soul within.”

Can they see the life of the Christ in you

So they know that what you say is true?

For many who never hear His word

May see in your life, a living Lord.
