Spring
I know not why God made the Spring
A colorful exotic thing,
So full of heavenly fragrance sweet.
The grass is satin ‘neath my feet;
The flowering meadows, swelling trees,
I stand in hushed and reverent ease.
How God has made it, I don’t know,
But I’m so glad that it is so.
