The Two Who Knew Him Not

Two walked with Jesus and knew him not,

Their hearts were heavy with fear,

They longed for the comfort He could give

Knowing not that He was near.

But when in love He opened their eyes,

With joy their hearts did sing,

How needless their sorrow along the way,

How needless their worrying!

And I think it was long e’er they forgot

How they walked with Jesus and knew Him not.
